I Registered for a 5k walk
So I registered to walk a 5k with a few people from work.
When we got there for check in there was a sign saying the short walk was a 6k. So I think we walked 6k.
It was a very interesting route, which took us through the ‘historic’ parts of the city, which included the cemetary, a park that apparently used to be a POW camp and the festival that was being held that day.
As best we could figure it took us about an hour and a half to walk the distance since we were taking our time and checking things out along the way.
I felt pretty good at the end of it, until I drove home and had to walk to my front door. My legs were the consistency of Jello, but after the walk from the car to the door, I was fine.
I just might register for another walk and maybe even focus on my time.
